About Tamarind Slabs

To produce our Tamarind slabs, fresh and top-notch Tamarind is pressed and moulded into thin slabs that resemble bricks. Purchasing our 99% quality, seedless tamarind with less than 1% seed content is very cost-effective. There is relatively minimal danger of weevil infestation when this tamarind slab is stored. The unopened seeded fruits are best for storage and use, and there is low waste.

Process:

The tamarind fruit is first weighed on electrical scales to determine the necessary slab weight, and then the same is placed in specially designed dies and crushed to create a compressed tamarind slab. These slabs are packaged in plastic and have printed labels attached to one side as per the specifications. According to the needs of the client, these slabs are further packed in export-worthy cartons weighing 10 or 20 kilogrammes.Based on the weight of the slab, we provide Seedless Tamarind in rectangular compressed slabs of various sizes.The standard consumer slabs are of 125 Gms,200 Gms,500 Gms & 1000 Gms.

Packaging and storage:

These tamarind slabs are packaged in 20 kg net weight export-worthy master cartons with plastic covers and labels already attached.This tamarind often lasts three years after the crop was harvested.Commercially, the differences between the quality are based on how much seed is present.In accordance with this, there are three different types of tamarind that can be supplied: tamarind with a maximum of 5% seeds (i.e., 95% seedless), tamarind with a maximum of 10% seeds (i.e., 90% seedless), and tamarind with a maximum of 35 40% seeds (i.e., 60 65% seedless).
